AP govt bans bauxite mining in Visakhapatnam

first_imgThe chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday ordered to ban the Bauxite mining at Visakhapatnam by withdrawing the GO 97. An order with respect to it has been passed to the officials of the mining department. “If the tribals are seriously opposing it to preserve the forest reserves, then there is no need for the government to continue the mining,” said YS Jagan.
